Week Two: Here We Go
Monday was great. Absolutely great. They stopped referring to me as "Intern 2"!! And, I finally got all my usernames, passwords and email!
On top of that, I did my own story.
It's been a while.

My day started with me getting assignments...my own assignments.
I had an awesome story:
It was a great reminder that God's love is everywhere, not just IWU.
I had to make some calls and really learn the story. My assignment really just had a contact. It was supposed to be a VO, but ended up as a web story, because the lack of footage available.
My supervisor didn't really change much, except for my grammatical errors. That's a huge step from last week.
Second, I made calls for my shoot in the afternoon. I knew I needed to do a VOSOT. The story was there, but she wanted her husband home...which meant a 4:00 shoot. Wow...my first story will be under pressure! So, I wrote the script and thought about what I needed her to say. So, after lunch, I updated some stories, did some more tweaking of my script, and sat until 4:00. Then, the more I thought about it, the more I realized, her husband doesn't need to be there. So, I called her back and we scheduled for 3:30 instead. Not much better, but it was something. But, it was perfect. I got there. Got lots of broll. And, got her to say exactly what I needed. I got back to KOTA, found an edit bay. Got it all put together and exported. Finished my web story. Boom! I felt good. It's not the best thing every done, but for my first story, I am proud of what I did. And, I think that's the important part.
